Re: Dark Side crappy?

Well, well....sorry, but you're all wrong. Although Claptom (like any other guitarist) never limited himself to just one guitar brand, he was, is and a probably will remain a Fender enthusiast. The following quote is taken from Clapton's official website at
http://www.claptononline.com:

"Eric Clapton has owned many guitars throughout his life. What follows is list of almost all the guitars Clapton has ever owned and played. Clapton's name has become synonomous with Fender guitars, especially the Strat, but he has owned many other Fender models throughout his career other than just Strats."

"For example, he owns a Fender Bass VI and 2 Fender Electric XII's. These three guitars each made appearances in the "Tears in Heaven" video. Also among Clapton's Fender collection is a Jazzmaster. This guitar was played by Eric during his days with the Yardbirds. And finally, as mentioned before,"

"Clapton has become particularly well known for his love of the Stratocaster. Clapton's most cherished Strat is the one that is referred to as 'Blackie.' This black Strat, which has now been put into retirement by Clapton, was assembled from the parts of three different 1950's Strats. Eric also owns 9 other Strats, 6 of which are his own signature models."

"Besides all of his Strats Eric also has owned a few Telecasters. One of these Telecasters is a blonde 1952 model. In addition to this '52 Telecaster, Eric also played two other models during his stints with the Yardbirds and Blind Faith. And last but not least is the sunburst Telecaster which Eric played in the "Tears in Heaven" video."

I rest my case.
