Anyway, "Childhood's End" , which I have not read, is both a Clarke book and, uh I'm sure no one knew thies, a Pink Floyd song. What I was wondering is if anyone has an in depth knowledge of Clarke's many books and if they are influential on some of the themes. I know this is random and trivial but I find this stuff interesting. |
I dont have any of Clarke's books, but I can tell you this; I
DO believe in the whole 2001/Echoes bit, and most of the other synch's available a particular
site, and one of those synchs is with A Clockwork Orange (also a Kubrick film) and the album 'Obscured By Clouds,' the same album that includes a song called "Childhood's End." That just seems a little weird to me, but check it out for yourself and enjoy. Its not one of my favorite synchs because its a little shady in alot of parts, but the first song/scene is a definate. I shouldnt have even brought this up on here, Im going to get a serious flame now for mentioning that I believe in synchs...
(something along the lines of "damn stupid hippy bullcrap democrat and your stoner garbage, synchs dont work and you know it!" is expected......Cheese?)
oh good luck on your question anyway Albatross, someone on here might know something.
