"Sorrow" and "Learning to Fly" can both read as poetry. They're brilliant stuff. I read a post on an old site by this guy who plaigarized the entire lyric to Learning To Fly. His english teacher thought he was a genious.
BDG sure got a nice horde of people to write lyrics.
"High Hopes" and "Wearing The Inside Out" aren't as good by themselves, but they describe their respective situations and emotions succintly.
I must agree with Fulghum, though. "Coming Back to Life" is brilliant. (part of this reasoning has to do with my personal life and my depressions) When I listen to that song, it truly makes me happy. It's great. May sound corny, but ah, I'm yet to go without making that kind of statement in...what is it? 12 now? :o
