Hello fellows of my community.

This is the part wherein I spew rhetoric and make politician-sounding promises about my foreseen reign as moderator, and everyone is reassured by the peace and calm and wonderment that I offer in exchange for votes. But really, facts is facts. This place is wild. There are over 4000+ members, more joining everyday, and there are more threads and posts and comments and crude jokes than any one or three people could ever possibly hope to keep tabs on. Let's face it. You guys know me. There's more Gerald on these boards than anyone else, so you should probably have a good idea of what I'm like, and here it is: I'm a smartass. I'm mean, I'm rude, I make fun of people, and I have no tolerance for stupidity or troublemakers. I think that I'm somewhat notorious for my longwinded posts in defense of subjectivity, the positive nature of our online community, &c. It's because I have far too much free time, and I can't stand to see people treat this website poorly, because that detracts from the jollies I get out of it.

So ask yourself-- What do you want out of a moderator? Someone nice, friendly, faithful, cheerful, all-loving and bouncy? No! You want the hardass, the guy who gets rid of the punks, the guy who's willing to point out the stupidity and sift through the nonsense. So vote for me, not because you like me, but because you're too afraid not to.
