Well, she's the patron saint of Libertarians like me. When I finally read it, I was spending a lot of time in motels and on airplanes, so weightiness was definitely an asset. As far as bad prose goes, well, I like John D. MacDonald, so what would I know? My theory is that, with her Hollywood background, she figured she needed plenty of sex to sell her ideas.

It's true that many people see her as glorifying greed, but that isn't what she says at all. What I think she is saying is that people should take responsibility for their own lives.
