Many of my friends consider Floyd's music to be mostly ponderous, miserable dirges, not because they are 'playing it safe' but because they have heard the band extensively due to me playing their music to them in a effort to convince them they are wrong. It's horses for courses mate, just because you like something it doesn't mean everyone else will.
