| Re: Pink Floyd The Greatest? Quote: Originally posted by Not Now John OK, ok. The story line is rehashed shit left over from the Bible. The directing is horrible (sorry Lucas but it is true). The acting was probably the worst of any major release of the past thirty years. The action was good, except for that painful death star scene at the end. The effects were one of a kind for the time period, but still very cheesy at times. Lucas stole from plenty of literature (Wizard of Oz, anyone?). And the whole Force thing is nothing more than California neo-philosophy full of flaws. Should I go on?
Well, I won't. The reason: I can't argue subjectivity with anyone. You will just continue to say it is the best movie just cause. Even though I have pointed out reasons why it isn't.
Is it entertaining, sure. Is Pink Floyd my favorite group? Sure. Do I get immense enjoyment out of listening to them? Sure. Does that automatically make them the "Greatest?" No. | |
