| Re: High Hopes: reference to Roger? Yes, I believe the album is definatly sprinkled with references and thoughts on RW, but I don't think it's the main focus. I believe the album is more about communication, and what happens when that communication breaks down (just like the whole RW issue...). I think "Poles Apart" "Lost For Words" are the ones that focus mostly on Roger...the other's, like "High Hopes", has a line or two.
BTW...in my opinion, "High Hopes" is about the "ol' days," how things used to be, and how they were better. This doesn't solely refer to the youth of Pink Floyd, but to the "ol' times" of anyone. This is why TDB is such a good album...it means different things to different people.
