thats because all of this is subjective and more often than not today's top guitarists list are based on who can play 15,500,991 notes per second more than anything...

in my opinion there are too many prodigies out there who think playing guitar means "shredding"

we should have just let shredding die like the rest of the 80's (unless someone can do it tastefully and melodicly like eric johnson, via, or satch).
