While I agree with what you said (for the most part), that wasn't what I meant in my earlier post. In reference to "Guitar Gods" I was thinking of Clapton, Hendrix, King, Santana, Vaughn, etc., none of whom fit into the "shredding" category, at least not in my opinion.
Of course, I realize the subjectivity of such a matter, and that any definitive statements made by members of this board can and will be torn apart by other members of the board. However, I don't believe that discussion boards must consist solely of facts swapped between users; rather, a forum such as this is an ideal place for an exchange of opinions and alternating views, in which case subjectivity is embraced.
Please don't take this as a rebuttal; its intention was far different. I am merely commenting on your comment.
