Re: Favorite scene from the wall

I've been watching "The Wall" for several years, practically since its release. Through all the years of watching the movie to death, I'm still wondering about something...

Does anyone remember the sequence after "The Trial" during the "tear down the wall" chant and Pink's life is flashing before the eyes of the viewer? Some of the things we saw were not in the movie (and I know there have been deleted scenes that have not been placed on the DVD, but I still want to see them, dammit!!!). One of those scenes where he's in a cell and he's scratching at the walls appeared in the deleted scene during the "Hey You" sequence. Other images we saw were recalls of some scenes, only either more in-depth or from a different angle (the scene where his arm was being injected with a hyperdermic during "Comfortably Numb" appeared differently in the sequence of pictures at the end). Another picture showed us a still of Pink emerging from the pool, as if to be in excrutiating pain, and the entire waters have turned red from his blood ...and it was shown with a much gorier detail than the scene that was shown earlier in the movie (where the water looked all red, yet clear); it looked exactly like a pool filled with opaque, pure blood. Seeing that brief image was just creepy.

My question is, during that series of pictures directly after the one of Pink locked up in the cell where he scratches, he's seen running from one end of the cell to the other, and then we see an instant shot of what appears to be a huge balloon of the familiar faceless figure. Does anyone know anything about that particular sequence (like where did it come from and what became of that scene)? I assume that's what Pink saw when he got to the window on the other side of the cell. I've been hoping the DVD version would have more deleted scenes than the "Hey You" cut, which would have put that missing piece of the puzzle into perspective...and I know there had to have been more deleted scenes than just "Hey You". I was thinking maybe someone may have read about it in a book or heard it from the people that worked on the movie in a commentary or interview somewhere.

Call it a hardcore fan that has to see every single detail of the movie -- deleted or otherwise.

Anyway, it's very late and I usually ramble on during the late hours. My apologies for loading an entire post with this inquiry. I just found that one sequence strange and thought I'd ask the experts for the hell of it.
