Yeah, Pink wasn't a nazi, but got to imagining that the huge stadium-rock shows he was performing was analogous to the giant Nazi rallies at Nuremburg during the mid-to-late 1930's. If you've ever seen the films of those rallies, you are immediately struck with the similarity. So (thanks to the drugs he was being given to keep him going) Pink imagined himself to be like Hitler strutting about on the stage, inciting the adulating hordes of worshippers below. This was just one of the things Roger noticed during the 1977 "In The Flesh" tour that gave him the ideas that showed up in "The Wall".

Yes, the character Pink was definately modeled after Roger's life.

Yeah, it's depressing as hell, but DAMN I love it!!!!
