There could be some venting of anger there, perhaps.
On Animals, I notice a certain lack of subtlety on the keys...almost the kind of angry feel of "Sysyphus". What particularly stands out is that loud, clanging glissando on "Pigs". I can imagine that done with a very angry look, while certain people's backs were turned.
I say all of this because I tend to vent a lot of anger into music, when I'm upset.
