| Greatest live solo of all time??? I've showed the live performance of Careful with that axe Eugene live from Sydney 1971 which features on a music compilation video called Superstars in concert (I have the VCD excerpt) to a few mates and family members now....and the solo has shocked and impressed all.
I've even had a response of "that's the greatest solo of all time....even better than Firth of Fifth and Comfortably Numb."
I'd go with Firth of Fifth by Daryl Steurmer as the best live Solo performance, heard on the Way we walk the longs, by Genesis.
but this Floyd guitar improvisation really pushes it all the way.
the footage is also awesome...can you buy the full live performance on bootleg?
has any one had the pleasure of seeing it? Do you feel this 8 minutes of perfect rock is Floyd at their best ever?
