I will never watch The Simpsons again

I feel really sorry for the producers of The Simpsons.

The Brazilian people and society are being insulted, and the excuse we hear is that it's just a "satire". Satire? Since when the objective of a satire is to defame a nation by showing only its negative side?

The episode shows the city of Rio de Janeiro as a bizarre jungle: monkeys, kidnappings and people dancing the Macarena. It has gone beyond the point of trying to show and/or understand what it's not of its writer's account; our culture is distorted, and that is the worst part of it all for me.

As seen before, with France and other countries, the "typical American family" thinks that they have the right to criticize in a destructive way everyone who doesn't follow their consumist, futile way of life.

Of course, I don't live in a perfect place. Obviously Brazil has their problems like any other place in the world.

The problem is that I just can't understand the reason of such unnecessary kind of thing.

Sorry if anyone feels offended with something I said.
