1- Barrett wrote - almost - ALL of the PF songs when they decided to go on without him
2- Waters left by his own will
3- They decided to go on without Barrett, they decided to go on without Wright (who is as important as Waters IMO), they decided to go on without Waters. Simple. It's always been in Pink Floyd history. Waters was important but he wasn't more irreplaceable than anyone else, like it or not.
