When I first bought this album,

1. I didn't know the band broke up
2. I didn't know it was made in the 80's

Once I listened and looked at the inside of the album, I was shocked! Thus I ran to the internet searching for answers and I wound up here.
I personally am not a big fan of the album, and I agree with you that it sounds very 80's. That's probably the biggest reason, it just sounds kind of corny.
