Actually, I'd have to probably go with Old Dave. He doesn't strike me as a man labouring under any kind of misconceptions, and the PULSE set WAS taken from several shows, as opposed to just the one, so it's not as if they didn't have the choice of one recording over another. The man IS a chancer, what with all the sonic guff he's been reeling out for 15 years or so, but he's more pragmatic than that and, moreover, doesn't actually have any reason to have to lie. He knows how Pink Floyd are viewed these days, probably better than most of his critics, but simply appears not to be too fussed. Certainly not to the extent of clandestinely papering over the accepted diversity of a live performance.


I'll give him a break this once.
