^^I think it's the poiniancy of the song that makes it so good, especially since its the last song Syd wrote with Floyd, and also, the fact that he was so far gone by this point, and that he was being replaced. Just listen to the lyrics and you'll understand.

Remember a Day, I think, is my favorite song on the album. Probably my favorite Wright song too. Very calm catchy and pleasant, yet strangely earry and out there. Probably the most "floydy" song on the album.
