It sounds a bit like that, "One of these days Alice... to the moon!" in which Ralph Cranston is hinting at violence but by omitting the verb it made it past the censors there in The Honeymooners back in the 50's or whenever. To me I'd say that Nick actually heard his father say this to his mother. It's too powerful of a lyric and too truthful and raw to be just made up. I once met the kind of father who would say something like that and I'm pretty sure it's one of the darkest episodes of family life ever written down in song lyrics.
