I am not on about changing rules just being more welcoming and accepting that new people need a chance to learn. Did you not make some faux pas when you started? (Sorry I should have searched).

Otherwise it may be just as easy to lock the boards and just have them as a learning resource for people to gain knowledge of Pink Floyd. That would save the bandwidth.
