Honestly...

Honestly, most newly remastered CDs will have some batch of defective clones. And about the sound quality of the music, I believe that the quality (seeing that the music is over three decades old) will suffer from any electronic upgrading. And another thing I discovered about Piper is that the sound will be awkward to you when playing it because it was most likely produced for Quadrophonic sound (four-corner stereos), so the sound will be awkward with the engineered effects. Good luck with your piper cd though, I got mine from burning it off a friend's copy, sounds fine to me
