I have a Crate BV series 4x12 (
http://www.music123.com/Crate-BV412SL-i132148.music) and I really like it. Celestron 12" speakers, solid birch ply cabinet, ported in the rear.. The bottom two speakers are vertical, the top two have a 12 degree up angle.
Fender and Marshall also make excellent cabs. Look for no void furniture grade ply cabinets or solid hardwood (alder, maple, poplar). These will give long life and great resonance. Stay away from low grade ply, particle board or MDF. You loose durability and they sound like a wet cardboard box.
