Picture this:
An old lady maybe in her 80's, husband passes away about 10 years ago.
And her family never comes to visit.
Now she has a cat which was a final B-day gift from her husband before he died.
She lives in Wisconsin where hunting cats was just legalized (BTW TOTALLY against it) She and this cat grow together and lays on her lap all day everyday.
That cat is the only friend she has, the only living thing in the world that loves her.
One day she lets her cat out for a little exercise.
Some redneck with a cat hunting license see's it running around by itself and shoots it.
It is completely torn apart and laying in the street.
This redneck doesn't bother to pick it up and goes on hunting.
(Also no offense to any rednecks)
It's dark now and the old lady is feeling alone and wants her cats company.
So she opens the door and calls to it.
But where is it it's not coming?
The old lady walks outside and finds her cat torn in half laying in a ditch in the road.
So she gets down on her knees and cries.
What will she do with her life now?
There is no one to love her.
There is no one to keep her company.
There is no one to remind her of her husband who was taken from her.
She is alone. Lost.
And there is no one to guide her. |
while a bit dramatic, it certainly gets its point across
