Dirty Kiddie Fiddler Gary Glitter ironically hit Daltrey in the eye during a rehearsal for one of those 'supergroup' gigs (Gilmour was also strutting his lipid stuff during it too) with the 'swinging mic' move, so Daltrey had to wear an eye patch for the real thing.

Amusingly, it had that 'Mod' circle thing on it.
