But "belief" implies faith. Scientology is not based on faith of any kind. According to Hubbard himself it is "built on definite axioms: statements of natural laws on the order of those of the physical sciences". This denies any room for faith, yet disqualifies it from the realm of science. It is pseudoscience at best, and a malicious brainwashing scheme at worst.
