Record covers and artwork in general

I really didn't know where to post this but I thought that the "Visual Arts Forum" was a good one (I think I could have also posted this in the "General Music Babbling Forum").

Pink Floyd are not only outstandig by their sound but also by their visual aspect. Their concerts are ("were" I sould have said...) a magnificent visual experience. And as a band who worried about every little detail the record covers are also wonderful and inmediately recognizable thanks to Storm Thorgerson's talent.

I thought that we could have a thread to discuss the work of all those visual artists who are related in one way or another with rock music, post covers or artwork that we find really interesting (even if the music in those records is not so interesting) or post pictures, photographs... by those artists even if they are not record covers.

Obviously, I think that Storm Thorgerson is a genius. My favourite Pink Floyd cover is "Animals". It transmits you the mood of the record even before you listen to it. The thing I like about Thorgerson's artwork is that it is based around ideas and concepts and most of his photos surpise you or make you think, like the one I've attached.

Another record cover that I really like is Elton John's "Blue Moves". It's a painting by Patrick Procktor and most of his work has got some kind of relaxing melancholic effect (above all his landscape paintings).

I haven't seen another thread discussing record covers artwork but if there is one I'm sorry for making a DDT!
