First of all, I can't believe you guys are fighting over the tone of distortion pedals...

I have a Big Muff (hee hee) Pi Russian edition/version/whatever. It sounds pretty good if you have a new battery. Unfortunately it has no plug for a power supply so you run through lots of batteries. Also, the plugs are on opposite sides (input on left, output on right) so that can add some confusion. Most people say it sounds better than the American version but I'm not sure since I don't have an American one!

I don't have a Blues driver but I've used them before and they don't have enough distortion for me. I use a Tubescreamer for that type of sound because it sounds a lot better.

I don't think what's his name was saying that the Blues Driver sounds the same as a Big Muff, rather that he can achieve a tone similar to Gilmours with a Blues Driver.

So what if you can't get the same tone? Play with your preferred pedals and leave each other alone.
