Hmmm, they smeared some deadening gel on mine before catheter insertion, but getting back to my point and related to yours...
The worst pain was not having the 5-inch screw removed from binding my leg bones back to my ankle, but the novacaine shot to the ankle before having the screw removed. THAT was the most pain!
I suspect natural childbirth for a woman still beats anything us guys can come up with.
