I'd like to add that nobody would buy the guy's albums if there was no Floyd connection and he'd started his career with whatever his first solo album was. In fact, he'd have been dropped by his record label for his tiny sales and totally dirge-like music that everybody hated. But I imagine that there'd be universal agreement that he was one of the friendliest, most accommodating and least egotistical people that they'd met in a long time.
