I always liked Ben-Hur. Khartoum was an unheralded gem that I went back to the theater again to watch a second time.
I would agree Heston was not the greatest actor of all time (he was "old-school-over-the-top-dramatics" at times) but the same might be said of Humphrey Bogart, one of the Hollywood all-timers.
