I would suggest scanning the forum you would like to post to, just check the subject headers (for example, a question about The Final Cut would go under "Waters Domination"). In all honesty, as the search function has some problems with it, I think checking on your own is the best solution.
The duplicate threads do clutter the forum, so it's best to avoid them. But do not worry--you won't get in trouble if you DO duplicate...it's not
that kind of issue.
