well, yeah that might be true but Dave is just so useless with words compared to Roger, most of his lyrics just sound like he's got something to say but he can't find a provocative way of saying it. So when he says it it just sounds forced. And because his singing is sometimes uninspired and the melodies on TDB are lacking slightly, it just isn't... I dunno, its hard to describe. Roger, on the other hand, can sing about something like his father dying in the war and his left wing political views, and make it fascinating just because he has that clarity of expression that Dave doesn't and because he signs things like he means them.

By the way, Rick Wright does better in this department than dave.
