So I was in my Spanish class, and we had to write a paper on our favorite types of music, and of course I wrote about the Floyd, and also Jimi. Anyways, she then would post sentences from student's papers that were grammatically incorrect, and the assignment was to correct them. She then posted about 4 or 5 sentences that had to do with the Floyd and Jimi, which all were not from my paper. Anyways, one of the sentences was, (translated back into English for those non-Spanish speakers)
"Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd had drug addictions, but Pink Floyd ended up living." I then immediately raised my hand and said how the sentence was false, in that Pink Floyd didn't have drug addictions, other than Syd Barrett, but he was gone way back when. The teacher seemed not to care, but it just gets on my nerves when people say that all the Floyd did was do drugs and that that's what influenced their music. What are your takes on the subject?
