David Gilmour In Concert DVD: opinions.

I'm surprised that nobody yet discussed this new release by BDG. Many of us were eagerly waiting for it and so? Did you buy it? Do you like it? What do you think about new acoustic arrangements? What's your favourite moment of the show?

I think that it's an excellent work, actually. A good way to perform a solo show, trying to do something different from the band's work. I much appreciated the choice of the covers also, Barrett's songs were perfect for the format, Bizet's piece is just awesome (here Dave does a great job on vocals) and I really like the song by Richard Thompson. All in all a truly excellent effort, a great concert, with great musicians and the unique mood of an intimate venue as the RFH. At the end of the day the less noticeable track is the new 'Smile'. But the real high moment of the show is Breakthrough for me, the song is beautiful for itself but with Rick's vocals, Dave's wonderful solo and Dick Parry's sax it has become a masterpiece.

One last thing: what about Pink Floyd performing in this semi-acoustic style in small venues? Would you like it?
