What would it take
To show
That my dramatic statements conveyed
The truth
In a less subtle fashion
Than I would have liked?
Upon reflection, I suppose
I would not
Want to change what I said
Or have it forgotten;
Let it stand as a tribute
To our inability
To withstand
Our own honesty.
