Re: I wonder why...and it makes me sad.

Sometimes I think the fans are actually angrier than the bandsmen themselves. So many years, and everyone is still fighting...!

I don't get it.

But have you ever noticed that the behaviour of the fans follows the behaviour of the PF member they hold in the highest esteem?

For many (but NOT ALL!) of the ardent RW fans, that often means a very strident defence of Mr. Waters, perhaps the most likely to say, "I'm right, you're wrong," to completely dismiss everything post RW.

For many of the DG fans, I notice that some of them dislike Mr. Waters' behaviour. They are more likely to be accepting of all PF. They are willing to engage the Hammer Guard (as I saw them called on amp-f) in battle if the topic comes up.

Now for me...I am a fan of Mr. Wright. I, personally, feel no need to get entangled in these battles. The more certain I am of what I think, the less I feel compelled to speak of it (unless, of course, it is a matter of TRUE importance...I don't think the Which One's Pink debate falls into that category). The one thing that can draw me out is if someone makes a completely unfounded accusation; I hate when rumours are tossed around to hurt people. Otherwise, I've little use for those battles, and I keep quiet until they blow over.

Interesting correlation, isn't it? I wonder how many fans these observations really hold true for?
