He's talking about the signature, folks. YS8's sig said 'Why are you reading this?,' not the custom user status. ToF, there's no required number of posts for a signature. Click on 'User CP,' and then on 'Edit Profile' at the top of the next page. When that loads, scroll down to the seventh little box in which you can type, and fill in your new signature to your heart's desire. When you are finished, scroll all the way down and click on 'Submit Modifications.' You're all set!
