I dug out my Pompeii tape and listened to the Echoes outro guitar part. It sounds pretty clean, but I'd say he had the reverb cranked.

But I'd agree with Shane, it's pretty much that huge bank of Amps/speakers that they were using that's delivering that delicious tone.
