We expect all registered users to read, understand and follow these rules: 1. General Posting Rules: - No "Flaming": Please do not post any messages that harrass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame another member or guest.
- No "Trolling": Please do not post any topic that disrupts the peace and harmony of this board. Don't create meaningless threads with the sole purpose of starting a dispute. This includes messages in profiles and signatures.
- No "Spamming": Double posting or cross-posting the same message in multiple forums is not permitted. Please do not mass-PM or mass-email multiple members of this site the same message. Also, do not post for the sake of increasing your post count.
- No "Offensive" Posts, Links or Images: Please do not post any messages that are unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually-orientated, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, sexist, discriminatory, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, as well as any messages that are otherwise violative of any local or international laws. This includes links in your signature, profile, bookmarks as well as posted images, photos and avatars. Staff will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not.
- No False Impersonation or Multiple Personalities: Please do not impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity. Having multiple personalities, that is, multiple user names, is not allowed either.
- No Self-Promotion: Please do not post any messages anywhere on this site that are primarily for the promotion or advertising of any website, forums, email address, business, MLM, activity, or other entities that you have an affiliation with.
- No duplicate threads: DDT (Dreaded Duplicate Threads) are not welcome on this board. If you are starting a new thread, please check to make sure a thread on the same topic does not already exist. Several topics have been discussed to death already. Please do not be afraid to post in old threads, new opinions on old topics are always welcome.
2. Copyrighted Material: Please do not upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any content that you do not have a right to make available under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements); any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary and intellectual rights of any party; any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware. This includes links to illegal MP3 and similar files and P2P networks (such as ed2K or bittorrent links). 3. Signature Rules: Please limit the length of your signature to no more than 4 lines with regular-sized fonts or 8 lines with a smaller-sized font (empty lines are counted towards this limit). Please notice that All Pink Floyd Fan Network reserves the right to take any appropriate measure against users that break any of the above rules, such as editing, moving and closing threads, including user banning and IP banning, without any notice. If you believe that someone is violating these rules in a specific post, please click on the "REPORT THIS POST" link (the little yellow exclamation point) in that post and submit a report to the Moderators. General guidelines: These are simple recommendations only. - Please include a descriptive subject on your posts and threads; also, try to include important keywords into it so people looking for that kind of information can find it when searching the website.
- Clearly differentiate between fact and opinion. If sharing your opinion, it helps the reader better understand your position if you add some reasons to support it.
- Quote only the portion of a posting that is necessary to convey the meaning of what you are replying to.
- Read all postings before replying to a posting to see if it has already been answered by someone else.
