There's no point on Earth comparing today's musical offerings to anyone in the past. Could you honestly compare Mozart to Pink Floyd?

They're two different musical forms from different times aimed at different audiences whose sensibilities are as different as night and day. No point.

I remember a huge row I had with a fellow GI long ago on who was a better guitarist: Glen Campbell or George Benson. An impossible, nay, pointless comparison. The two are totally different beings with different sets of perspective and target audiences.

If I had kids, they would probably hate Pink Floyd, Stevie Wonder, etc. just because I like them and because I'd probably hate whatever it was they'd be listening to. It's generational and ultimately subjective.

Bad music(of any discipline) = any that causes its audience to die or kill or to do either.
