All Pink Floyd Fan Network recognizes that privacy is an important issue, so we design and operate our services with the protection of your privacy in mind. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information we gather when you use the APFFN website or services, as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard it.
The following principles apply to the personally identifying information we ask for and that you provide. "Personally identifying information" is information that individually identifies you, such as your name, physical address or email address.
Data Collection Policy
APFFN may collect limited non-personally identifying information your browser makes available whenever you visit a website. This log information may include your Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your query and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. APFFN may use this information to operate, develop and improve our services.
Some of our services require you to register for an account. APFFN asks you for some personal information in order to create an account (typically your name, email address and a password for your account) and we will use that information to provide the service. APFFN considers that personal information is private and confidential. Accordingly, the personal information you provide is stored in a secure location, is accessible only by designated staff, and is used only for the purposes for which you provide the information (such as to reply to your request).
If you also use our free e-mail service, you are subject to another privacy policy, provided by Everyone.net, which is available in here. No e-mail data (including but not limited to your e-mail login, password, and the e-mails you send or receive) is stored on any of our servers.
No Release of Information to Third Parties
Personally identifying information will not be released to third parties. We may, however, share such information in any of the following limited circumstances:
* We have your consent.
* We provide such information to trusted businesses or persons for the sole purpose of processing personally identifying information on our behalf. When this is done, it is subject to agreements that oblige those parties to process such information only on our instructions and in compliance with this Privacy Policy and appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
* We conclude that we are required by law or have a good faith belief that access, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Google, its users or the public.
No Computer Tracking of Identifiable Information
Our computer is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information about its visitors. It does recognize the home server of visitors, but not e-mail addresses. For example, we can tell which Internet Service Provider our visitors use, but not the names, addresses or other information about our visitors that would allow us to identify the particular visitors to our sites. This information is only used for internal purposes and/or for technical support.
In addition, our web sites track information about the visits to our web sites. For example, we may compile statistics that show the daily number of visitors to our sites, the daily requests we receive for particular files on our web sites, and what countries those requests come from. These aggregated statistics are used internally to better provide services to the public and may also be provided to others, but again, the statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
We fully comply with applicable law and protect privacy in a manner consistent with the principles of an industry-approved privacy certification program.
Changes to this policy
Please note this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We expect most such changes to be minor, but there may be changes that are more significant. Regardless, we will post those changes on this page. Please review these Privacy Policy from time to time so that you will be apprised of any changes.
These Privacy Terms supersedes and replaces all prior or contemporaneous understandings or agreements, written or oral, regarding such subject matter.
