| Re: Good songwriter, bad musician I just gotta laugh and sadly shake my head at some of you people who dismiss Amused to Death becuase it doesn't sound like FLoyd. Did you ever stop to think that's because it ISN'T a FLoyd album? It's a Roger Waters album, fer crying out loud. If you cannot get past Dark Side of the Moon then you're never gonna appreciate much of anything. Open your minds a bit and let some sun in. Oh, and that dweeb who said "...and the guitarist is very much trying to copy Gilmour, but he is getting a cheesy, weak 80s solo guitar sound..." - please, get a clue. First, there are quite a few guitarists on that record, but you are probably thinking of the main one, who happens to be Jeff freakin' Beck, my friend. He's got one of the most distinctive electric guitar sounds in history, and uses it to great effect on this record. At least read the musician credits on the CD insert before you post such drivel. Jeesh!
