In my humble and extremely biased opinion i think that "Amused to Death" is one of the greatest albums ever. Even better than a number of Floyd albums. AMLOR and DB for sure. If it happened to be under the Pink Floyd name I would bet it would have been an extreme sales success which is why im happy hpw it is. Under Waters' it stays a sacred part of people who enjoy and claim to deeply understand it. I had it in a few weeks ago and a friend (unfamiliar with it) says "This is the most intense music ive ever listened to." he then went on to scold me for delving into such "downer" music but anyway "Amused to Death" is one of the top 5 albums to come from anyone in FLOYD together or solo

I agree ATD is up there with the best that Roger Waters has written.

maybe there should be a waters domination section. that seems to be a recurring theme in many of the discussions. not a very productive discussion but fun to put in one's "two cents".

Hmmm.

Some might say that you appear to be slightly overly "vigilant" with regards to the minor task you've been trusted to undertake.


And the ability to "get" sarcasm might be a boon also.

I'm missing the point here. I can't think of a better place for a discussion about ATD than in the Roger Waters solo section.

Please explain why it would be moved! Not that I care one way or t'other, just interested.

Pink Pig, the topic was originally in the Water Domination section. Charade decided it should be in the Roger Waters solo section, so he moved it there, using his special powers as a moderator. :smile:

Yes, Exactly Not Now John, as a moderator i don't want to interefere unless necessary and keep things smooth. As a poster i usually display my opinions, but I do not yet have "Amused to Death", so I have not posted anything on it.

Please carry on about "Amused to Death", my role is my role and nothing else.
