Re: The Wall - Disc 1 or 2?

I was wondering the same thing myself, Botley.

Why?

Well, I like the title. It was a bit dissapointing when I heard the song. I like to write reviews so I'll write another one if you want/.

Re: The Wall - Disc 1 or 2?

Disk one for me.

It catalogues musically a descent into depression / madness / whatever like nothing I've ever heard before (and in particular the versions on ITAOT are BRILLIANT in this respect).

The second disk (now that he's arrived at depression/madness/whatever) doesn't really become the emotional rollercoaster that it could have been. Although, as many before have said, it does contain some of the best Pink Floyd tunes ever written.

I would probably go for disc 2 - its got more substance, and of course it has CN, Run Like Hell and waiting for the worms.

In the Flesh?
The Thin Ice
Hey You
Mother
Is There Anybody Out There?
Nobody Home
Goodbye Blue Sky
One of My Turns
In the Flesh
Comfortably Numb
Run Like Hell
Dont Leave Me Now
Goodbye Cruel World

What do you think? Could my choices make the album better than it is? Or am I just coming up with songs to mix on a cd and burn? Who knows....

Wow, I have no idea how you came up with that....first off one of the best transitions between songs on the CD is "the thin ice" and "Another Brick pt1" it's so key.....your list seems to jump around alot.....i agree about some songs being taken out though cus they're unnessecary, Don't get me wrong, i think the album is great as it is and hands down their best one, but one can't help wanna perfect something so good......I would leave out another brick pt2 except the solo part cus it doesn't really fit.....and putting goodbye cruel world at the end??? Outside the Wall is a great ending, and no the show must go on?? Well, i don't mean to pick on you buddy, i'm just very opinionated about my floyd

Um, I don't know about the above comment, or where it fits in, but for me, it'd be mostly disc 1.

Re: The Wall - Disc 1 or 2?

ok "vera" and "bring the boys back home" arn't exactly classics but my point is that the first six songs from disc 2 work so well together!!
