Re: The Wall - Disc 1 or 2?

That's hard-
Disk 1 has better individual tracks (ABITW, Young Lust, One of my Turns, Mother)
But Disk 2 is better when you take the whole thing, not just tracks in context.
-It's hard, but Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell, The Trial, Wating for the Worms, Hey You, and the longer, more disturbed In The Flesh put Disk 2 slighly over the edge.

If I had to choose I'd say disc one. But I don't have to choose, so I'm not going to.

Your first problem is that you're listening to The Wall.

I like Disc 2 more because it seems more disturbing. Disc 1 is all that is leading up to the completion of Pink's wall. Disc 2 shows all his inner demons that torture him from within the wall. At least that is my own faulty interprtation of Disc 2.

I'd have to go with the second disc because I want to.

Exactly right, seeing what happens to Pink inside the Wall is a disturbing sequence

What about "The Trial" though, it's the biggest load of shite I've ever heard.

The mini-opera at the end is one of the few good parts of the entire CD.

It's because Roger and Andrew were the best of friends.
