Re: Divine Comedy

Hmm, this guy (he said his band was just him and his acoustic guitar) opened for teh Ben Folds concert.
He was awesome - a great voice, really nice lyrics (some very emotional and some very funny).
He said he operated in England, and that he'd written the soundtrack for a popular British TV show.

nice. - any of you british-chaps know him?

Re: Divine Comedy

Indeed, Neil Hannon and his band The Divine Comedy is a real musical treat. If yiou get british 'ironic' humour, you'll love them. They're a great fusion of witty lyrics with heartfelt emotional ballads, great guitars and lush orchestrations. They scored Brit TV sitcom 'Father Ted' and have a web site designed by non other than Hipgnosis! Try www.thedivinecomedy.co.uk

I would recommend these albums:

1. A Short Album About Love
2. Fin De Cecile
3. Regeneration
4. Cassanova

Or for a good taster try:

A Secret History - The Best Of The Divine Comedy.
