| Re: Which song/album brings back..... Whoa.... Such emotion there. Good story BTW, makes me kinda glad I haven't experienced that yet. The main one has to be the Wall cos it reminds me of school and one person in particular who was very much like Pink. Everytime I get to Nobody Home, I have to skip it cos its so emotional and I cried everytime I heard it. Another would have to be TFC cos halfway through, I have to get the tissues out. First time I heard it I was practically filled with emotion especially at the Final Cut. Echoes is one that tends to evoke hypnotic feelings personally. Almost good enough for meditation, if I had the time. Brain Damage/Eclipse: Evokes images rather than emotions, I just get this picture of a lunatic asylum on a hill with lots of grass around it. Hard to describe but I know what I see. It's also got a nice momentum to the end that makes you want to crank up the volume some more, just to hear it. Um... lots more but I would be filling the topic if I didn't stop. |

| Re: Which song/album brings back..... TIME---First time I heard it, it just knocked me out. Been a PF fan since. The lines: "You run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking...racing around to come up behind you again...the sun is the same in a relative way but you're older...shorter of breath, one day closer to death..." are certainly one of the most poignant observations ever made of the human condition.

| Re: Which song/album brings back..... Definitely "On the Run." It was in the spring when my former boyfriend gave me Dark Side of the Moon (little did he know that he was screwing himself over: he HATES Pink Floyd and if he hadn't given me that album just to get rid of it I probably wouldn't have gotten into them that much). Anyway! It was in the spring and the CD skipped horribly because he was cruel to it when it was in his possession... But the first few tracks were all right and "On the Run" was one of the first things I listened to (obviously) that afternoon. I fell in love with the beat... That clicky little beat...

| Re: Which song/album brings back..... Comfortably Numb reminds me of the time that I was half asleep and I was carried out of my room. It kind of reminds me of what situation that Pink was in his hotel. |

| Re: Which song/album brings back..... I would have to say that I find the entire album of "The Final Cut" emotional, because it's Water's "memorial" to his dad that died in the war in 1945. Also, the entire disk of disk II on Echoes, except for jugband blues and bike. They put them in at the wrong times. _________________ "The echoe of a distant time Comes willowing across the sand"
