Divine Comedy

Hmm, this guy (he said his band was just him and his acoustic guitar) opened for teh Ben Folds concert.
He was awesome - a great voice, really nice lyrics (some very emotional and some very funny).
He said he operated in England, and that he'd written the soundtrack for a popular British TV show.

They're a great fusion of witty lyrics with heartfelt emotional ballads, great guitars and lush orchestrations.
