 HELP! I want to buy the best versions of DSOTM/WYWH! I have been searching through many previous forums/threads for an answer to my question. I would like someone to give me guidance on the best versions to buy of both DSOTM and WYWH. I am willing to spend top dollar if necessary but I would like to know as far as sound quality goes what I should look to buy. I know this subject has probably been discussed to death but I am turning to you the experts for your honest opinions. Obviously getting a copy of DSOTM on the Harvest Black Triangle or Black Face are out of the question. So what are next best versions of either of these great recordings. (e.g. 20th anniversary, 25th anniversary, 30th anniversary, IMPORT UK, IMPORT Japan, IMPORT Russia, etc.) Please would someone help! Footnote: I do not have SACD player.  |

| Re: HELP! I want to buy the best versions of DSOTM/WYWH! Get the MFSL 24 carat gold CDs for both of these albums. They're not as harshly trebly nor brashly loud as the SACD version and feature a lot more of the lower frequencies that regular CDs lack. Not the cheapest and certainly more likely to scratch easily but well worth it. It's pretty much vinyl on lovely, tiny, gold discs that even your mum will like.

| Re: HELP! I want to buy the best versions of DSOTM/WYWH! I don't think MFSL (Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs) ever released a GOLD disk of WYWH. Do you mean the Master Sound Legacy by Sony/Columbia SuperBit Mapping Gold Disk? |
